Dangers of waterways in Florida
There are many homes throughout Florida that are located on the water, whether it be lakes, channels, or the ocean. It is quite common for homes and apartment complexes to run right up next to the water, which can make it quite dangerous for people of all ages if they are not careful.
People must exercise caution near the water, avoiding going close to the water while intoxicated and ensuring they are always cognizant of their surroundings. Parents should take care not to let children near the water unsupervised.
There are some circumstances in which poor safety, supervision or maintenance can result in liability for accidents caused in the water.
